[ the feed opens with a crow's cawing and nico shakes his arm, making the feed bounce as quothed settles there. at first, nico frowns at the bird, and then brightens with a slight smirk. ]

So it's pretty much a supernatural zoo here. We've got vampires and werewolves and incubi. It's kinda strange, because I used to think of them as monsters to kill, but here we're friends.

And I'm wondering something. Does anyone have confirmation from the F.A.T.E.S. that our worlds are rebuilding. Is everything we're doing actually working, or are they lying to us? I want to save my world, save Eudio too, but I'm still skeptical.

[ Vex was quiet for a moment, basking in the sensation of having someone so close to him. Nico had seen him through some terrible events such as when he lost Massimo. Funny, at the time he thought it couldn't have gotten any worse for him- Then it did. ]

I'd locked up my heart, kicked it away and forgotten all about it. He found it, brought it out, and still has it to this day. [ He ran his thumbs gently along Nico's jaw, then his hands fell away to hang uselessly at his sides. ]

I've never had so many friends before yet I still feel so bloody alone.

[ as vex's hands dropped from his face, nico reached for them, entwining their fingers together so as to keep the intimate closeness between them. ]

I know. I get it completely and I'm sorry. I really wish I could do more because that ache... I can't help but wonder if it ever goes away. Maybe it just gets dull after a while.

[ He didn't say anything at first, he only squeezed his hands in response. It felt so good to connect with someone he trusted so much, but he knew it was only temporary. He swallowed and whispered weakly. ]

I'll be alright.

[ He lied. ]

[ unable to read vex's thoughts, nico merely stared at him, brows furrowed as he tried to determine what vex might have going on in his head. the future is so uncertain and he's worried about vex, even still. and likely will be until he knows for certain that vex will be happy again. ]

You will be. [ he's determined, his voice full of surety. ] I'll somehow make sure of it.
