[ Rose isn't naive enough to think that it doesn't change people's perceptions. She goes from being a happy-go-lucky, rock 'n' roll loving roadie to a monster with a simple word. It shouldn't matter, she thinks, but she knows it does. She's been almost killed over it several times, even. Had assumptions made and conclusions drawn just because of what she is.
But then she went to Eudio, a place much bigger than her own world. A mish-mash of different realities able to work together and live peacefully despite all their differences. It gave her hope that maybe what she was didn't truly define the whole of her. It was only a small part, not everything. And ultimately, what she was was such a small part of her that she really believes now itshouldn't matter. ]
