Rose isn't sure why that particular memory was called to mind. It could have been the weather or the fact that she was in the company of someone who calls himself a 'Shadowhunter.' She'd never told Alec, really, because there hadn't been reason to but when she first heard his title she was definitely wary. While she knew he couldn't be like the ones of her world based on his relationship to Magnus alone, it was... hard to get passed some things she experienced. Probably the closest to understanding how people felt about her kind she'd ever get, honestly.
"Yeah," she finally answers, after taking a moment to come back to the present. There's a subtle shake her to her limbs that isn't just from the chill in the air the rain had brought. They're moving under a bit of cover now, away from the downpour she hadn't even realized was starting to soak her once he'd stumbled like that. "Yeah, I. Uhm. That was. It happened sometimes, if I stayed anywhere too long. I was lucky that time." There were worse encounters, times she thought she wouldn't escape as easily. She always managed to, somehow, but each encounter reminded her why she had to keep moving, why she couldn't settle down. Why she had such a hard time in Eudio, is having troubles still even here with committing.
