( rafa doesn't have a heartbeat, but -- dick sure does. he's exceedingly human in every which way, if not exactly normal, and he can hear his heartbeat thundering in his ears once rafa touches him. he can assume rafa can hear it too, which is frankly embarrassing, but he thinks he can find a way to blame it on the alcohol if it comes to that. friends can dance like this. hip to hip, toe to toe. friends can do a lot of things.

relaxing, he puts his hands on rafa's shoulders, before sliding closer and letting them dangle at the back of his neck. it's safe, he thinks, more worried about his own actions than the impulsiveness of a bloodthirsty monster. dick has met plenty of monsters, and none of them look like rafa. )
