- When I was 13, I went to school picture day dressed as Sailor Moon.
- I've thrown up on Joss Whedon's shoes at a comic convention.
- I was given a month's worth of detention for filling a volcano full of glitter and sequins in science class and then letting it explode.

The third sounds so outlandish that I think it might actually be true. Though how would one fill a volcano with glitter and sequins?
[ she knows it can't possibly be a full fledged volcano, but also has no clue how a person might have access to one of any kind. ]

that was a good guess!
but it wasn't a real volcano.
we had to make a model of one for a science fair. you know, paper mache, baking soda, the whole deal.
i just went a little wild with mine.

the students do a whole project on a topic of their choice.
it's supposed to be competitive because usually there's a prize.
paper mache is when you pulp paper and mould it together with an adhesive. not my favourite thing to do, but still fun most of the time.
and baking soda's like an ingredient i used to make the volcano foamy.

Thank you.
Baking soda helps to make imitation lava then? It sounds like an enjoyable sort of project.
