All those glittering children who hadn't even realized what was possible, what their feelings of being odd really were and that they weren't wrong.

If we had the sort of...means to talk to each other along great distances the way we do where I'm from, I'd say to give the ones who you don't want to talk to a fake phone number. But you seem fairly clever, I'm sure you could figure out ways to get them...to leave you alone." The phrase 'off your tail' had just barely been caught at the tip of her tongue; she may not have a lot of tact by choice, but even she could recgonize that as a potentially poor choice.
