Hello,

While it has been a pleasure meeting many of you and learning a variety of new things, the opportunity to return to my home has arisen. It should come as no surprise to those who know me that I will be taking the chance and leaving Xistentia come morn. Aymeric will be joining me, as both Ishgard and the Eorzean Alliance will need him for the dawning war. [ it goes without saying that she'll be needing him too - so sorry guys, but she's taking her handsome friend back with her ]

It is uncertain if I will return, though if I have a choice in the matter I will remain in Eorzea for the rest of my days.

Thank you for the kindness you have shown me. I wish all of you the best.

[while Amanda is homesick--for Earth and a place so far from it--she's also growing close to so many people here that she's not sure what she'd do if she had the chance to return. Still, she's glad Era is going with the man she's sure is the reason for their discussion a little while ago]

I'll miss you, but I understand the need to take care of your responsibilities back home. I wish both of you the best in whatever awaits you there.

I will cherish the time we have spent together. If one day you should find yourself on the shores of Eorzea, seek out any of the city guards and say you are a friend to the Warrior of Light. Request an audience with the Scions and you will be well taken care of.

[while she knows Eudio was another world, that this is another world, neither seemed quite as much like what Era's sounds like, like the things she used to read as a child. The way she imagined, and later knew, some alien worlds could be.

But it's more the word friend that touches her than the offer itself. She's had few of those, real ones, so it's still strange and incredible to have someone say they see her that way without any prompting]

[ 'friend' is a term she uses more liberally than most might, but those she considers friends have never made her regret doing so. the number of friends she has is still not exactly large - she has more allies and comrades than true friends, after all - but few have ever looked at her and never seen the Warrior of Light, and Amanda is one of them. it's something she appreciates in ways she can't put into words, but hopes that her offer expressed it in some ways. ]

My duties are not exactly what one may call safe, but I will do my best to take care. Likewise, I shall hope for your continued good health.

[Mandy can't imagine returning to New York, even if hadn't been literally falling apart, her own part of it was certainly doing so metaphorically years before. She misses Curt of course, jesus she misses him, but she wants him to be here. But she knows not all worlds were quite as dismal as hers, and that not everyone was simply a social outcast just getting through life day by day]

Well, it's been lovely talking to you darling, and I hope you'll keep some of the things I said in mind even while you have much more serious things to concern yourself with. Especially if they might come in handy with your travelling companion.

That's good to hear. Of course, you can completely disregard any or all of it that isn't pertinent. But if any of it is appealing, I'd say don't be afraid. The worst that happens is you get turned down. That's it. And while I've done a lot of things I regret, I think I would have regretted never taking those chances even more.
