[Will opens the video with his usual friendly smile, his guitar in his lap and his arms draped and dangling lazily over the side of it as he taps out an idle rhythm with his fingers.]

So I have a few things I was thinking about and was hoping people might be able to help me with some of them.

The first thing I was thinking of is if anyone else here plays any instruments? Or even sings? [Will gives a playful, single strum of his guitar with a grin.] I know at least one person here besides me does. [He's looking at you, Rose.] I was just thinking about how all my siblings had at least some talent with musical instruments and we would often lead the campfire singalongs back at the camp where I live or we would just mess around and jam in the Apollo cabin. I'm starting to really miss it so I thought it might be fun if people wanted to get together and just jam together some times.

The other thing was if anyone's any good at working with metal? I have a few things I'd like to build but I definitely don't have any talent for it.

You know, Leo offered to make anything I might need recently. I can ask him if he can help you out.

[ said as nico settles down next to will, his fingers reaching out to pluck at the strings of will's guitar. he smiles at his boyfriend, all affection and love. ]

And if you want to have a sing-along, we could always have it down at the beach, once it stops raining. We could make it a regular thing with marshmallows and all.

Would you actually sing if we had one? [Will asks it teasingly, leaning over and jostling Nico a bit with his elbow.] I have a feeling people don't really know the usual songs we do back at camp. We could teach them, but they'd probably be confused about some of the lyrics if they don't know much mythology.

[He did think of Leo but... he also isn't entirely sure if Leo is capable of keeping a secret about a surprise so he's looking for other options. Because he definitely does not want Nico knowing about one of the things he wants to have made.]

I could probably give it a try. I mean, as long as the music is decent. You could always play something modern too. [ nudges will back as he shifts closer. ] That might be better than trying to teach people Camp Halfblood songs.

Modern? Don't you mean something from the '70s or the '80s? [Still teasing.] I'm guessing that's what your vote would be for if I asked for some requests, to get a better feel for what people might like.

[ snorts, rolling his eyes. ] You do know what I like, caro mio. [ brushes his lips against will's cheek. ] You always seem to know.

[He laughs.] After being together this long, I'd sure hope so.

Actually, about that... I know time for us has been different because of being shuffled to all these different worlds, but we started dating in November, right? Do you want to just say that's our anniversary? Even if we wouldn't have actually spent a full year together yet by then?

Anniversary? [ that makes nico blink a little. with everything that's happened, he'd not even given that any thought. besides, he's accepted that he'll be with will forever, found happiness there. why need to put a date to it.

still, there's something rather... romantic about having an anniversary. nico beams at will before leaning closer to brush his lips along his jaw. ]

Yeah. Even with everything, I still thought about you. I still considered you my boyfriend and that I'd return to you once I was done in Eudio. So even if it's not been a full year, it has been in our hearts, right?

[Will wraps one of his arms in a one-arm hug around Nico's shoulders, giving him a quick kiss in return.] Exactly.

Did you want to do anything for it? Go on some trip for a couple days, explore around? Have a party? Laze the day away in bed?

Hmm.... [ leans into the embrace, tapping his chin in thought. ] Lounging in bed sounds nice, but if you want explore, we can do that too.

Some adventure is fun every now and again, I think. Do you ever get bored here? It's a lot more of a quiet life than things were back home, that's for sure.

Sometimes I do. It's weird, being so relaxed. First Eudio and then here. Makes me worried I might be getting rusty, but we're supposed to be rebuilding our world or Eudio or something, so I'm not sure. What about you?

[Will pauses for a moment, getting a pensive look and mulling it over for a bit.] I wouldn't say I get bored, per say... It's just... Am I glad there's not as many people who need patching up here? Of course I am. But at the same time, I don't know... Being a medic is what I'm good at. It's the only thing I'm good at. Sometimes I feel like I'm useless when it's all sunshine and rainbows. It's not a bad thing by any means and I'd rather feel that way forever than lose any more people but... [He gives a little shrug.]

You and Percy and everyone else, you guys were the fighters, the heroes. Sure, I can fire an arrow and hit a target, but you guys... You were the ones out there making a difference, saving the world. If anyone deserves a nice, quiet, extended vacation, it's you and the Seven. I'm sure you guys have had enough adventures to last a couple lifetimes.

[ for a few seconds, nico opens and closes his mouth before frowning a bit. then, scooting closer, he drags his fingers through will's mop of hair and presses their foreheads together. ]

Don't ever, for a second, think you didn't make a difference too. If it weren't for you saving Annabeth, Kronos would've won. If it weren't for you keeping me from falling into a shadow coma, who knows how the battle atop Halfblood Hill would've happened. If it weren't for you, Will Solace, a lot of people would've died and we'd all be worse off for it. So don't ever think you didn't do anything heroic. I mean, gods, you were practically the head of the medics when we were twelve. That's a huge accomplishment. And you kept me from dying. You're just as much of a hero as the rest of us, you understand me?

[Will looks a bit puzzled for a moment.] What does me healing Annabeth have to do with Kronos not winning?

I wanted to impress you, you know. Do something cool to get you to notice me, and then you showed up, and I had to go into scolding doctor mode instead. I could tell you were irritated with me but then I got irritated right back when you were so blind to the fact that not everyone thought you were creepy. I didn't want you to disappear forever, especially before I even had a chance to tell you that I liked you and thought you were amazing.

[He takes one of Nico's hands, holding it between both of his own and palm up so he can rub his thumb against it gently.] I know we all have our own roles to play and I know what mine is but... it's hard to have to stay back sometimes, even if I know it's the right thing to do. [He thinks about when Paolo got hurt and Kayla and Austin went missing, how he wanted so badly to go after his sister and brother and look for them - he was the head of the Apollo cabin, they were his siblings, he was responsible for them as the counselor - but being a medic had to come first. Being a medic always had to come first.]

[ he can see the concern in will's eyes, feels it radiate from him as it always seems to. that medic part of him that will never go away. coupled with his warmth and the feel of his thumb against his palm, he shudders a little. but pleasantly. ]

Didn't you know? It was by giving her dagger to Luke that the prophecy was fulfilled. Percy told me about it. How she she gave Luke the dagger and he sacrificed himself to destroy Kronos.

[ settling his other hand atop the one covering his, he tilts his head to make sure their eyes are meeting. ]

Every time you save a life, that's one more life that could make a difference in the fate of the world. That's huge, Will. I didn't understand that at first, when we met back then at camp, but by saving my life, we were able to bring peace to the camps without further bloodshed and ultimately you taught me that life is better to choose over death.

... Oh. I never really put that together. Yeah, I guess you're right. [He smiles at him warmly in gratitude.] And you'd better chose life over death. If you ever go back to the Underworld once we get back home, then I am absolutely following you down there. You're stuck with me forever, di Angelo.

I won't let you become another Othello, caro mio. Don't worry. [ brushes his nose against will's. ]

Can't say I'm familiar with that one... Who was he again?

Used his lyre to crack open the earth and find a path to the Underworld in order to find his dead wife. The only stipulation was that he couldn't look back at her and at the last moment, he did, losing her forever.

[ another brush of his nose. ]

I won't let you lose me and I won't lose you.

[Scrunches his nose up in slight confusion.] Wasn't that Orpheus?

I will definitely keep that in mind though. If I ever need to go to the Underworld for any reason and someone tells me the only way you can get out is if you don't do this one thing, I will make absolutely sure to not do the one thing.

I seem to be getting my dead people mixed up. [ makes a face, eyes going crossed as he buries his face in the crook of will's neck. ]

Good. Though hopefully that won't ever be the case.

[That makes Will laugh.] Cute. [He presses a kiss to the top of Nico's head.] Yeah, let's hope so.
