[ her mind goes the same direction, her cheeks flush and she leans up to kiss him.] I'm sorry you were here alone.

It's fine because you're here now.

[ he's not normally so free with his feelings, but with betty it's easy. she accepts him so readily, regardless of who he is or where he came from and that just makes him love her all the more. so when she leans up to kiss him, he's quick to deepen the kiss, tongue flicking out to graze against her lips and he cups her cheeks. ]

[ he deepens the kiss and she moves to pull him closer. she wants to ask him more, she wants to talk about the jacket but right now... she doesn't have anything else to worry about. except for the huge thing.]

[ he draws closer at her prompting, not even hesitating. and as their kiss gets hotter, he slides a hand down to her hip, cupping it and finally pulling her flush against his body. ]

[ she sinks into the kiss for a moment longer before she breaks from it, barely moving a breath's length away from his mouth to ask:] Are they watching us?

[ looking around him, as if there might be someone watching, he shakes his head. as far as he's been able to tell, there hasn't been much in the way of surveillance. he's done as much searching as possible, but from what he's gathered, they're not watched. something he's currently thankful for because if betty's thinking what he's thinking, he doesn't want them to be watched. ]

No, I don't think so.

[ she lets her lips slide along his that perfect jawline of his, her hand holding the other side of his face, her voice still soft, a murmur against his skin.] How do they know?

[novelizes]

[ making a soft noise as her lips travel over his skin ( she's always good at distracting him ), he curls his fingers in her ponytail and tugs ever so gently. ]

Still trying to figure that out. Magic, I assume. They have that here.

[ her attention to what she's doing falters when he mentions magic. it shouldn't be surprising considering everything that got her here but... it is. ]

[ still holding her close, he nods. it had been strange learning about that when he arrived, but he's been slowly getting used to it. if there's one thing they both can be, it's adaptable. ]

Yeah. There's vampires and demigods. Probably not that surprising since we seem to be in a cross-worlds kind of place.

It's a little hard to wrap my head around. [ her lips seek out his for another kiss.] Can I stay here?

I know. It was for me too. [ he kisses her, slow and steady with a little bit of tongue before answering. ] You don't even have to ask, Betty.

[ she melts a little into that kiss, honestly grateful that he's here. she doesn't want to think about being her alone, going through this. one of her hands moves to slide through his hair, knocking off his hat in the process so she can massage his scalp.] I'm sorry you were here by yourself.

[ it's a sign how much he loves and adores her that she allows him to knock aside the hat. it falls to the floor and he doesn't bother to retrieve it, too focused on her and the feel of her nails on his scalp. ]

It wasn't so bad. And it wasn't for too long. We'll find a way back, though.

We can do it together, [ she reminds him, reassures him. they will find a way back to the people they care about, to their families.]

Yes, we can. [ that's all that needs to be said as he kisses her again, full and deep because he has her now with him and he's not ashamed of letting her know how much he needs her. ]
