[astrad] truest definition of icebreaker ever
[Kara absolutely does not know about this, but her daemon is taking Kara-meeting-new-people matters into her own tentacled little hands by way of video advertisement.]

Ask Me About My Spirit Animal
Preferred Alias: Supergirl! Except when she's not Supergirl!
Spirit Animal: a "golden" "retriever" species: dog
- She has yellow fur on her head!
- She is a good strong friend!
- She has a beautiful smile and lots of teeth!
- She is very loyal [AstraD pronounces this as low-yal and gives a shrug like she doesn't know what that means but it sounds good!]
- She can do lots of tricks! She can fly just like Earth dogs can! That's neat!

[Astrad does not know if you can actually fly or not. Quit harshing her pop culture high. She attaches a picture with her next message. She's glaring at the camera, her chin resting on her hands. Behind her is a blur of blue and red - Kara sitting with her back to the little Lumir and reading in hers and Thea's apartment.]
You should watch the documentary "Air Bud."

no, i cannot.
which is unfortunate, but it's not the mutation i was graced with.
[Kurt can see from the image that Kara isn't the one speaking, taking into account she's sitting over there, concentrating on a book of some sort. He adjusts the camera, shuts his eyes and sticks his tongue out before snapping a picture that he sends back to the daemon.]
and what's this documentary about?

[sure enough, Kurt receives another picture, this time with the alien sticking out a green tongue, her black eyes bright and happy. in this one, Kara is just starting to turn around, an alarmed look on her face.]
And I thought her messaging ONE person was bad enough!
Geez, I'm sorry. Thanks for humoring her. It's a cute picture. :)

it's no problem!
seems like your daemon is rather feisty. [oh, but she--]
thank you. (*´∀`*) sometimes, i guess i'm photogenic.

the word looks unfamiliar.

When I was little, I had a Lumir as a pet, which probably explains my daemon. At least, I think.
lmao i am trying to find a picture of these things and i cannot find *anything*
never heard of it, actually, but i'd love to go and see these gardens.
that would make sense!
my own daemon didn't make sense at first.
after looking up some traits about ocelots, i definitely understand now.

If you can ever manage it, I highly recommend it! I'm not really sure how to compare it to Earth because it's not a "garden" like Earth has.... but it's gorgeous and a wonderful place to vacation!
[Kara Danvers: Travelocity agent.]
So why an ocelot?
no subject
so, this is not a location on earth?
which means
it's in space?
being able to go somewhere like that would be absolutely marvelous!
[meet kurt, who might enjoy entertaining the idea of space travel more than he lets on.]
ocelots, while solitary creatures in the wild, are naturally curious and adventurous.
they're a lot like an overgrown cat in the way that once they learn to trust, you've made a friend for life.
so uh
i suppose that tells you i'm mostly extroverted with the tiniest bit of introvert?
and once i'm befriended, i'll be loyal to the end.
as long as you can deal with the awkwardness every now and then (⌒∇⌒)

[ yeah... yeah, that. ]
Aww, that sounds really sweet!!

i have yet to meet any alien species on earth, but i'm sure there's a chance of it happening.
oh, thank you! that's very kind of you to say.
