[ Oh this doesn't feel real. It takes him a while to reply just so he can convince his head to get around it. They'd mourned her. He'd spoken at her memorial and now she's talking to him. ]

[ And it doesn't take long, really. It's stupid, kind of reckless. He goes straight there, hoping against hope that it's her and not really taking time to worry about what happens if it's not. It doesn't matter right now. He only gets a twinge of worry when he arrives, and pauses by the door. He tucks his pendant daemon back under his shirt, nudges the door open with one arm and keeps the other hand primed in case he has to light the place up. His tone is cautious, but despite that, still hopeful. ]
