☘ CEREMONY - 3 o'clock
The ceremony itself was small and simple. A few wooden benches in a forest clearing that guests can seat themselves on, the aisle between them covered with a thick white fabric with blue petals scattered over it and thistles placed along its edges.
It was a tradition that bride and groom not see each other before the ceremony and she was more than happy to follow it. Loki had helped her with her make-up and Estinien with her hair while she set her outfit to a glamour plate in preparation. Just outside the clearing was when she changed into her dress, both excited and unspeakably nervous.
When it started, Aymeric was waiting and Era didn't disappoint.
Loki guided her down the aisle toward her husband, where he stood more handsome than ever in a more modern white suit under the floral archway she crafted. Estinien was there by his side, armor conspicuously absent, though so was his scowl.
It was a whirlwind from there. Aymeric's vows were as eloquent as always. Era's were a simple 'I love you'. It suited them both.
They placed their rings on each other's respective fingers for the second time, and then Aymeric scooped her up to kiss her.
From there it was just a matter of moving on to the reception.
☘ RECEPTION - 5 o'clock until ???
The reception is an interesting mix of old fashioned and modern aesthetic, hosted at Mandy's Masquerade. Lit mostly by fairy lights and candles, the colour scheme is predominantly shades of blues and whites. There are no set tables as there were no set number of guests, but the tables and seating have been moved more out of the way to provide ample room for dancing.
Instead there is a buffet of all sorts of foods and no shortage of sweets. There is also, of course, an open bar.
Music is provided by Rosie, as Era trusts her friend's skills as a DJ.
Go nuts, Xistentians.

She returns her gaze to Loki, smile still on her face and a touch amused. ]
'Triumph'. I like that. [ And here is where she lets out a quick laugh. ] The ladies of Ishgard will be all the more bitter for my triumph. A foreign Auri woman claiming their precious Lord Commander.
[ It's all the more hilarious to Era for the fact that it was Aymeric who instigated what they now have between them. She hadn't even considered romance before, and then he was just so...
Aymeric. Sweet, thoughtful, charming, strong.
The most handsome man in all of Ishgard. And, in Era's opinion, all of Eorzea and Othard. Say what you want about his personality, Loki, but you can't say that man isn't gorgeous. ]

A shame you cannot be there to rub it in.
[ It's what Loki would do. He's still a little tempted, at times. But such things should not be spoken of. ]
no subject
I hope I can remember all of this when I return home.
[ She looks to Loki, bright eyes warm and earnest. ] I do not wish to forget you, Loki.
[ It isn't a secret that one of Era's biggest fears is losing any of the memories she's made. She is missing most of her life, and almost obsessively summarizes every one of her days in journals to make sure she will always remember.
But no amount of record keeping will keep these precious memories safe should Xistentia strip them from her.
Era shakes herself of the thought. This is her wedding day. No matter what may or may not happen to this memory, Era intends to enjoy it to the fullest. ]
Sombre thoughts are unsuited for this day. Would you care to dance with me?
no subject
My lady.
no subject
My dear friend.
no subject
So. Discussed any future plans yet?
no subject
[ And she is maybe a bit nervous about the evening's plans. She has never been intimate with anyone before, and though Aymeric would never think any less of her for it, Era fears messing up. Being inadequate.
But she's also equally excited. To experience something new and supposedly exciting with her best friend - now husband.
So... Nothing Era would speak of in public. ]
It isn't as though we can have a honeymoon. Nor can we have children. We've a home already, both here and in Eorzea. Those are the things expected of wedded couples, are they not?
[ She does hesitate for a moment before continuing, almost reluctantly: ] ...We have discussed the need to return to Eorzea
no subject
I did not think that was possible. How will you manage it?
no subject
[ Physically? Sure. Mentally? Probably not. Her purpose is to keep her realm safe, yet she has failed three times over thus far. Era doesn't know if she can handle a fourth. ]
And even if things have resolved in my world, I would miss you a great deal.
no subject
It is your world. Of course you must return to it.
no subject
Would that you could visit it one day.
no subject
Perhaps.

[ Hugging is something she's grown more comfortable with over the past few months, and while she's still not great at it, Era's skill is sufficient enough. She gives her friend a quick hug, missing only two beats of the music they're dancing to. ]
I'm certain there is a way we could keep in touch, somehow. Even if it may take a while.
no subject
No doubt.
[ all the doubt. ]
But such talk is best saved until after the reception.
