Characters: Vex & you
Summary: It's been 20 days since Vex arrived in Xistentia, and nobody has seen or heard from Mark in all this time (for you animal-types, his scent is completely faded from Vex by now). It may be time to broach the subject or just hang out with the obviously in-denial fae. If you're a stranger to Vex, or don't know him that well, you may want chill with him on his beach-view porch, he's got cold beers. Ping

OPTION I
Vex's native look hadn't changed much since he first arrived, mainly because it was easier to hand-wash one set of clothes rather than a full wardrobe. He wasn't particularly in the mood to be vain, anyway. His routine hadn't varied much as he still felt more than a little overwhelmed and lost, as such he would go into town for supplies, occasionally scout the area, but in the late afternoons he'd watch the sunset in one of his porch chairs and a cold beer in hand.
He could see him out there in the sand, Mark had always loved the beach. Whether he was running around as a panther or a fae, kicking his feet in the waves, or relaxing in the hot sand, Vex saw him as if he were real. He never tried to go out to interact with the visions, he had a feeling he would spoil them or, even worse, they would disappear- like he had in the portal less than a second after Vex lost his grip on his hand.
If he was greeted while in this state it make take him a moment to hear or see, as he was so lost in this fantasy world that reality was very difficult to grasp. His daemon sat by the edge of the deck, a black short-haired cat with unnatural blue eyes which peered out at the ocean.
OPTION II
It was raining, but Vex did his shopping despite the weather. At least it was warm rain, though without an umbrella it soaked his clothes and made his flip-flops sound rather squishy as he walked. He didn't seem to care how much water he was tracking inside the buildings, even though which now had proper shopkeepers. Feel free to scold him for being so careless, or perhaps help him gather supplies.
Even better, offer him a drink and he may actually open up for more than only smalltalk.
OPTION III
Choose your own adventure! Vex can be encountered almost anywhere and he's always got his daemon with him, so go wild if you wish.

[ He had to envy her simplicity. ]
no subject
That's about the only requirement at this point, yeah. What about you, dude?
no subject
[ It seemed simple enough, except for the fact that Mark clearly wasn't there and as a result that statement wasn't at all simple. ]

Rose pauses at his words. Only briefly, but she's trying to decide how to approach this. What she should say next. It's a new thing for Rose who is known for not thinking overly long or hard on anything before jumping to conclusion, before saying whatever she thinks. This isn't a delicate situation, necessarily, but it is one she wants to tread lightly on. ]
Wow, dude, ouch, [ she opts for, putting a hand over her heart in mock hurt. ] I'm wounded.
Though if I'm going to Hell, I'll probably see you there eventually.
[ Good-natured ribbing. Always a safe call. ]
no subject
[ It was easy not to get onto the Mark subject considering how deeply Vex was in denial about it. ]
I bet he'll make your dogs pull his sled.
no subject
[ It occurs to her she never actually asked what his incentive was. Well. Rose doesn't ask a lot of things, really. The reason being that if she doesn't ask about other people, they usually don't ask about her. It's an easy equivalent exchange that she likes to maintain. ]
You didn't. I don't think we've ever talked much about your world, actually. [ Probably for good reason. Maybe he doesn't talk about home for similar reasons Rose doesn't about hers. ]
My dogs getting to pull Hades' sled would be an honor, honestly. The cutest hellhounds you ever did see.
no subject
Oh, nasty bit of work he is. Cut my throat when I wouldn't play with him, lucky for me I have very strong vocal cords. [ He said to the surprise of no one. ] I tattled on him to Nico and he was like 'oh that sounds like dad'. Can you believe it? Bloody hellspawn. [ He said it with fondness in his tone because he was very fond of Nico, after all. ]
no subject
[ Rose had asked for a change to her incentive, but. Well. She wouldn't know if it went through unless she went home. Considering what going home meant though, she'd only do that as a last resort. Besides, it's not like she has a 'home' to return to given their current situation anyway. ]
I mean, that sounds like something the ruler of the underworld would probably do. Glad to see you walked it off though. It'd be a lot more boring without you around, dude.
no subject
Yeah, I bet it would. Who would be here to help with your wardrobe if I was gone? Not that there's much to dress you up in, unless you're into coconut bras. [ A clear exaggeration given that the city was becoming more 'fixed' by the day. ]
no subject
[ After the orgy, she kind of gathered that was the case... ]
I am, in fact, into coconut bras. Grass skirts, too. I think I'd make a cute little hula girl, don't you?
no subject
[ And yes, Vex even made a little 'hip thrusting' motion in the air to emphasize what he was talking about, because he was Vex. ]
Eh, about average honestly. If you washed off the dog smell...
no subject
Oh, trust me, I know how he can keep going and going and going. [ It's actually a unique kind of fun to have someone who can keep up with her stamina in that way. She always figured humans wouldn't be able to match her in the bedroom, but... Well, she's happy to have been proven wrong. ]
And I might have fulfilled my incentive, but it was to stay there so. Long as they didn't kick me out, I guess I was good.
[ She had approached them about another incentive, actually, but that was... secret. Not something she'd proud of, all things considered, and hopefully won't ever speak of if she can help it. ]
But if I washed off the dog smell, I'd hardly be me. It comes with the package at this point. Take it or leave it.

[ Eudio's magic wasn't strong enough to fight off Destiny, it seems. It put that much more doubt in their ability to give him immortality. Yeah, he was definitely not going to test that. ]
I'll leave it then, ta.
[ He joked, but he winked nonetheless. Such a liar. ]
no subject
I'd have to call that your loss. There's a reason I got that dragon on lockdown.
no subject
[ VEX. ]
no subject
[ Both of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Only they won't be because 'lol what is shame.' ]
no subject
Ooh hoo hoo! One of these days when you're feeling frisky you oughta invite me to hop in. I bet Van 'n I could make ya howl.
no subject
You say that as if I'm not always feeling frisky, [ she responds, still smiling all the while. ] Besides, I doubt it'll take a lot of convincing on his part.
no subject
You minx! Mmh, no, I doubt it would take much, he and I always did get on like cookies 'n cream. He's got this thing he does with his fingers... ooh! I get the shivers.
[ And indeed he did shiver. ]
no subject
Seems like dragons aren't the only ones with possessive instincts.
She'd never bar Vanyel from seeing Vex, of course, but she also doesn't really want to dwell on it for overly long. Certainly not see it, unless she has some part. ]
The healing magic, [ she says, still keeping her playful smile on despite herself. ] is pretty nice, I gotta' admit. I think he gave me a kink for it, honestly.
no subject
He gets his hands on me and I'm ooh, more! It's impossible to keep away from him whenever I see him, I always get the urge to pounce. Honestly, I think I just have a kink for him, the whole bloody package.
no subject
It's also entirely accurate, even if Rose herself doesn't realize that's exactly what she's feeling. She never has felt it, if she's being honest. Not like this. Not over someone.
What she does know, however, is the longer he goes on about her boyfriend the more she's left with the rising urge to smash this wine bottle over Vex's head. ]
Yeah, can't blame you, [ she says, halfheartedly. A lot more flat than her tone before. Perhaps the first obvious sign of something amiss. And as with any uncomfortable situation she doesn't know how to deal with, she also has the rising unease that causes her to want to run. ] But we can talk about how fine my boyfriend is maybe not in the middle of this store? C'mon, dude, let me buy this wine and we can get out of here.
no subject
He continued to talk, maybe even a little louder than before. ]
Are you mad?! Everyone should know how bloody amazing he is! Honestly, with his hands alone you could get anything in this so-called city. You'd have them lining outside of your door for just a taste!
How about we give him a call then, eh? He can pop over and get us a whole crate of that wine with just a ... [ And then he made an obscene hand gesture. ]
no subject
I don't want everyone to know how amazing he is, he's my boyfriend!
[ she suddenly yells.
Ah, there it is. Immediately after it escapes her, she can't help but look away in. Embarrassment? Annoyance? It's hard to tell, actually, but she. She hadn't meant to snap like that. ]
I mean, we're not. It's... He can do whatever he wants, I'm.
[ Very confused, honestly. ]
no subject
Oh! Darling, you're jealous! You've gotten yourself attached to a fellow who can't keep his legs shut to save his life and you're jealous!
[ He found intense humor in that irony because he was a dick. ]
