[ but it's not his loki. not the loki he'd been with in eudio. the voice is familiar, maybe loki's non earth-616 counterpart, but it's not the loki he loved. and it makes something twist in his chest. he's careful not to let it show, though the dark of his eyes flicker like a flame behind a shattered glass window. ]

[ His eyes narrow slightly, assessing the boy he sees. ]

None of us are truly of anywhere these days, though. Right? [ the careful lift of a brow. ] And we're all far from home. Which makes me wonder: What will you be trying to save, if not Asgard.

[ Loki shrugs casually. ]

Who says I am trying to save anything? Perhaps I merely wish to make sure I continue to exist.

[ now it's time for nico to narrow his eyes, assessing this loki. ]

The same rules, if you can call them that, still apply. At least, I assume they do.

I can get that. You don't seem like the type to sleep with anyone. [ a nod of understanding. ] But in order to maintain anything here, even if it's just your existence, it would probably pay well to reach out.

Loki wouldn't like if I left his other self hanging, so I'll just say that if you ever need to talk to someone, no strings attached, I know some people.

[ Charity. But Loki isn't in a position to dismiss it. And it seems that the other Loki left a . . . positive impression. ]

Do. Until then, have you found a place to stay? There's apartments and houses now that were around to begin with, but if you need a place to crash until you get settled, my boyfriend and I have a pullout bed.

[ sure, he doesn't really know this loki, but something tells him he shouldn't let him remain by the wayside. nico isn't sure if it's his love for the loki he knew in eudio or what that drives him, but extending a hand of offering seems like the right thing to do. ]

[ the hesitation is noted, but never being the type to push things, nico merely nods. ]
