Superficiality, of course. I'm well aware that heroes hail from all locations and paths of life. Why would physical similarities or even cultural ones change the innate nature of heroics?

Because the way that some of us look? You wouldn't imagine that we'd be the 'heroes,' as it were. [Which is the most casual way of saying, "When you have the appearance of the demon, most people don't want you around."]
