I believe it is entirely natural to feel adrift here.

It's not 'in spite' of anything. I imagine it would be entirely due to being displaced from your home. I'm very fortunate that I came here with friends.

I've been quietly searching for a few from within GCPD but have come up empty handed info wise.

Unsurprising. I have met none from my original world. It's an intermediate place that I have loved ones from.

Have you found anything to comfort yourself with, remind yourself of home?

Working, I figured for now do what I know best. I was a file clerk and archivist.

I suppose this civilization is not advanced enough-- if that's the term-- to have developed much in the way of paperwork.

Archives, however. Are you a recorder of history?

Amatuer level to be honest.

Perhaps that suits just as well. This society is very young. You could take notes. It wouldn't be too much.

A small side project, may just be what I'm looking for.

This could well suit your needs then. Are you practiced yet with the holographic keyboards? They're a bit of adventure. Pen and paper might suit as well, if perhaps your daemon can transcribe as needed.

I'm getting rather good at working the keyboards, after some trial and error of course.

Of course. It always seems needlessly complex, a gymnastic endeavor that's seems to have little utility.

What sort of technology did your old world have?

Computers, cell phones and things of that nature.

It was 2016.

I became familiar with those in my recent world, Eudio.

I never thought I'd miss that or think it simpler.
