I was well aware of all the others, but that last one is a bit of a surprise.

[ Truthfully, the only reason Rose is as alright with this is because she knows Vanyle and her won't have a marriage in just about any traditional sense of the word. Well, at least you knew it was sort of on the cards. I never did like the idea of those surprise proposals. I probably would have slapped any man who did that sort of thing to me, no matter how long we'd been together.

[that's one thing she has to give Brian. It had really been sort of just a foregone conclusion they were going to get married pretty much from beginning because it was practical. It was really the only practical thing either of them had done.
