A majority of the people here seem to hail from worlds with many similarities so it is understandable to forget.

Such a thing was frowned upon? In Eorzea people of the same gender are quite frequently in relationships. It is only serious relationships between those of separate races that is considered taboo.

[ so if she were to enter a relationship with her good friend aymeric back home it would be looked upon quite harshly. not that she had ever considered a thing whilst still on hydaelyn. since that incident with the prison world, however... well. it does her no good to dwell on such things. ]

That is a good definition. There is no need for a woman to be married, so I wish you many happy independent years.

It was. Still is in a great many places, depressingly. For a time I thought we were going to be able to change that, but sometimes dreams are just that. That, at least, was one thing my former spouse and I felt very similarly about.

[she'll badmouth Brian a lot, but not when it comes to the matters of wanting to be able to be intimate with any consenting party without being locked up for it]

Thank you darling. It's been ten years since Mr. Slade and I split, and while I am not in theory opposed to the idea of being in a serious relationship with a man again, I certainly have no desire to tie my ability to keep a roof over my head to one again.

Oh, that's quite a large question. Many of them blurred together quite a bit for a variety of reasons. I rather liked visiting Tokyo though. It was gorgeous. And not just the clothes I brought back, although those certainly were. There were some beautiful parks. And the cherry blossoms really are as lovely as all those paintings and such suggest.

That might be the best revenge against my former partner I could think of, really.

I imagine you saw many beautiful clothes. I try to bring outfits back with me whenever I travel though frequently run out of space for them all. It was somewhat disheartening to realize that my wardrobe did not arrive here with me.

We have cherry blossoms in my world as well. Sitting beneath their vast branches while the rising sun filters through the blossoms, it is easy to see why they would inspire artists. I have yet to come across any here, but if you would like I shall inform you if I ever do.

One of the best kinds of revenge is being a success when others would see you fail.

Indeed. And I brought back quite a lot of them. I had some beautiful jade earrings. Unfortunately I had to sell most of them after I left my former partner to afford moving and then keeping a roof over my head.

I don't know how much all of our worlds hold in common, but it is nice to know some lovely things are sort of a constant. I'll admit no longer having the funds to travel was one of the more depressing losses. It would be nice to see them again.

Quite. I know it would make him and his little secretary furious, and I can't deny the thought gives me a bit of a thrill.

I have some jadeite. If you wish I could craft a pair of earrings from it for you. I would just need a desired design to work from.

Oh. That's a very lovely offer. I may just take you up on that. I've gotten used to costume jewelery, but it would be nice to have something a bit nicer on occasion.

Stuff that's very cheap. It's often made to look like an imitation of the real thing, if you don't look terribly close. I could make some rather depressing joke about the commentary that makes, but I'll save it.

I could see someone skilled with metallurgy being able to craft imitation metals, though I do not know of a way to imitate gemstones.

And now we're talking about concepts I have no understanding of. What's metallurgy?
