Late Summer Fair

I play my part and you play your game

Welcome to Xistentia's first fair, F.A.T.E.S.' excuse to mingle. The setup appears overnight on the edge of town, a nonsensical mash of themes and places from the multiverse. Haunted house and circus tent, facepainting, ferris wheel and carousel, game stands that seem to self-operate, dozens of empty shopfronts, self-regenerating popcorn stands. Pretty soon, however, the people start to come, bringing their own goods and wares. The population of Xistentia is 333, which is more than enough people to fill a fair.

As far as fair food goes, there are penis-shaped waffles^[NSFW] in various flavors, two-sticked popsicles for sharing with a partner, turkey legs, fried dough, cookies as big as your head, fried fish, fried lizards, glutinous fruits, and lembas.

And let's not forget, there is an abundance of alcohol everywhere. Beer, wine, you name it.

But of course, let's not forget the games. Many of them are low-key and prizes vary from the ability to change your daemon's color to any other natural hue, to free food, horrible writing pens, and stuffed animals. Games vary from whack-a-mole to bobbing for apples. Everything is free to eat, drink, and play, barring some excuses for barter with some of your friendly neighborhood natives.

Some games, however, are less casual if not necessarily more costly. The contests of finesse and strength come with special prizes from F.A.T.E.S. and...

THE WINNERS ARE

Note that the "prizes" do not stack. Runner-up winners will not get multiple of the same type of prize, and those who experience a critical failure won't suffer particularly severe consequences. If your character receives a dream or a "unique item," you will receive a reply to your comment on the mod announcement with more information.

Kissing Booth

And what would a fair be, without a kissing booth?

Just like the rest of the fair, the odd thing is that there is of course no payment required.

Instead, a large and lovely lantern hangs behind the booth. It seems to glow a little brighter every time a kiss is transacted. It's hard to know exactly what this means, but considering that emotional intimacy lights the streets of the city, one might guess that F.A.T.E.S. is saving up this particular energy for something special.

But until then, it's a good excuse to make out.

[ well, then. this is certainly more than he'd thought he'd be getting, but in reality, he doesn't mind much. in fact, wyatt is a good kisser and he's really getting into this. by the time he feels a tongue probing at his lips, he parts his own, almost eager to accept the deeper kiss. ]

[ Wyatt smiles into it, happily playing with Nico's tongue. He sucks on it, and lets his fingers stroke through his hair a little. It's been a while since Wyatt kissed anyone like his. He'd expected to feel out of practice, but in fact he's enjoying himself. He draws back just a little, closing his lips on Nico's lower one and sucking it a little before separating completely.

Then he smiles, eyes brighter than before. ]

Thanks. That was pretty hot.

[deathkid]

[ okay, that smile is pretty killer and nico feels his cheeks heat up a bit. still, he's smirking, licking his lips having found the kiss hot too. he only hopes will won't mind if he asks for another. ]

You're welcome. [ the smirk grows, despite his blush. ] If you have time later, stop by again and I'll give you another.

[bratpack]

[ His cheeks are flushed. Wyatt runs his finger across that flush, unable to help himself. ]

Oh, I think I could make time. That's if you can. You'll probably have a line of people getting in my way.

[deathkid]

[ turning his head, he brushes his lips against that finger running across his cheek. ]

You'd be surprised.

[bratpack]

[ Wyatt's hand pauses. He runs his fingertip across Nico's lip, his smile growing. God, this boy is beautiful. Like, beautiful. ]

Then their loss is my gain. How much attention can I steal?

[ He leans in, pressing his lips to Nico's again. These kisses feel indulgent now. If there is anyone waiting, they'll just have to deal with that. ]

[ feeling a flush of heat run through him, he can't help but grin a little as wyatt's finger runs over his lip. there is a bit of a line ( not too long; nico doesn't draw a huge crowd or anything ), but nico's in favor of ignoring it as he kisses wyatt again. a low sound escapes him as his lips part and he invites wyatt to deepen the kiss. ]

[ Wyatt takes up his offer, moving closer to slip his tongue into his mouth. It drags against Nico's, which Wyatt then sucks on, and responds with a soft noise. Nico tastes good. His hand strokes its way down the demigod's cheek and neck, light but growing in confidence. ]

[ a noise not unlike a purr escapes nico as his tongue is sucked on. wyatt really is a good kisser and he's prompted to slide a hand into the other boy's hair, gripping just slightly as he tilts his head for an even deeper kiss.

when it becomes necessary to breathe again ( or when breathing through his nose proves to be not enough ), he pulls away. his eyes are a bit glazed and he looks flushed, but it's obviously from pleasure and he grins. ]

Gods...

[ By the time they separate, Wyatt's breathing a little hard. His pants are also a good deal tighter than they were before this started. He leans back, licking at Nico's lips and grinning a little. ]

You can say that again.

[ Gods. Demigods. Wyatt runs his tongue over his own lips, which still hold the taste of Nico's mouth. Wyatt runs his finger across Nico's jaw, eyes moving over his face. Smiling, he steps back. He runs his tongue over his lips and points at Nico. ]

This will not be our last time.

[deathkid]

[ his normally pale cheeks have taken on a rosy hue and he's also feeling a little uncomfortable between his legs. but it's all worth it, in nico's estimation. just to watch the way wyatt's gaze drags over him makes his breath hitch and he swallows hard before licking his lips as well. ]

Better not be.

[bratpack]

[ Wyatt nods. ]

Later. [ He says, which serves both as a goodbye and as a promise. He turns away, heading back to the rest of the fair, and walking just a little less comfortably than when he arrived. ]
