daemon: zeymahd; video
[Vanyel has apparently gotten his daemon's cooperation for a change, because the first panning shot (several different maps, all in the same blue ink, apparently showing an island off the coast of Xistentia) is slow and smooth, and Zeymahd isn't even grumbling about it.
Finally, the camera comes to rest on the latest map, ink still glistening wetly on the parchment. It holds for a long moment, as if maybe the daemon is reading over it himself. Then comes a tapping, off-screen but very close to the camera, and it swings up so that Vanyel is in the shot too.]
This is my prize from one of the fair games, evidently. [He says, then grins.] So - who's up for a bit of exploring?

[On the heels of that response comes another, a quick clip of exactly that: the ink crawling, for lack of a better word, over the parchment, to form the lines of the map.]

[ that seems wiser than diving in blind. not that he believes it's a trap, but he's been unsure since receiving his own gift of what it all adds up to, and there's no way of knowing if the island might be inhabited by creatures as dangerous as the trolls. ]

I've tried, and so has one of the other responders. Neither of us were able to even see the island, when flying over the area it's supposed to be in.
[So diving in blind it is. #yolo, or something.]

this is making his gears turn. he's been wondering what his 'prize' was for, if there was a point to it. ]
Could it be submerged? [ he rubs a spot on his arm. ] I got something after the fair, too. I can control the sea, in a way. Maybe this is why?

[It would be a real first for him, if so; he's been in partially submerged ruins before, but none that were fully underwater.]
I suppose we'll find out soon, one way or another.
