Mandy's is looking a bit festive this evening. Arrayed with spiderwebs, pumpkins, and other ghoulish decorations, the interior resembles a spooky haunted house. Spooky, not scary! Everyone's invited to stop by and celebrate All Hallow's Eve with spirited drinks, excellent company, and a lot of that Magnus flair.

You can loosen up on the dance floor to Monster Mash, Thriller, Dead Man's Party, or maybe something from this list. The spooky sky's the limit! Visit the bar for one of several special drinks you won't soon forget. You can also sample some tasty and holiday-appropriate baked goods, courtesy of the other Mr. Lightwood-Bane. Finally, stop by the table with the MAGIC 8 BALL to learn a little more about your fellow partygoers.

Siren Song
If you're a little tone-deaf, don't fret. This drink will turn you into a master at serenading. It won't actually give you the ability to influence anyone via magical means, but maybe if your song choice is apt, you'll woo someone either way!

Firework!
A drink that comes with a portable fireworks show hovering over its surface. Drinking it will give you the sensation of ingesting liquid pop-rocks.

Blacklight
Does what it says on the tin and makes the drinker glow under a black light. It's also kind of sour.

Frankenstein's Monster
This drink is quite shocking. Not dangerously so, but when you drink it, you'll have the impression of getting a tingling little jolt of electricity down your spine. It's aliiiiive.

To Be or Not To Be (A Daemon)
Drink this and you will find you've been magically swapped with your daemon. It only lasts ten minutes, but hey! You'll get to see how the other half lives. A note: you won't inherit one another's abilities!

Who Wore It Best?
costume contest

Congratulations to our costume contest winners!

In first place for individual costumes...

Rafa wins for his devilish costume and he'll be awarded 2 potions: the first of which will up his luck stat, granting him good fortune in an endeavor (it says "Deal with the Devil" on the bottle) and the second will up his persuasion stat, helping him to be more successful in an argument (it says "The Devil's Advocate" on the bottle).

In second place for individual costumes...

Nico plunders the second place spot and will be given a treasure chest full of chocolates that are rum flavored. Careful, they pack a bit of a punch and when consumed, they'll make whoever eats them feel especially happy. No sad drunks here!

In third place for individual costumes...

Zeke and his amazingly sunny costume are in third and he wins a sunflower plant that will never cease to bloom and seems to have a bit of a glow about it. Plus, perpetual supply of sunflower seeds?

In first place for couples costumes...

Magnus and Alec came first for their portrayal of... each other... and they win a pair of seemingly mundane t-shirts that say "Bennet" and "Darcy" on them. What's that about?

In second place for couples costumes...

Vex and Kenzi delighted with their take on the Addams' family patriarch and matriarch and won second place. As a prize, Kenzi will be given a shampoo and conditioner set that seems pretty innocuous until you check out the writing on the bottles: 'Have YOU ever wanted hair like Cousin Itt? Are you ever in luck!' Just a small amount will make her locks lustrous and smooth. Vex will be given a very lifelike and animated hand in a box.

In third place for couples costumes...

Rose and Kaz were drop dead gorgeous in their mafia-inspired garb. As prizes, they will receive the following: for Rose, a pair of magical die that make music when thrown, and for Kaz, a set of playing cards that are intricately illustrated with astonishing art that seems to move. Watch out for the face cards, they get very opinionated about your playing. They both also receive a chip that can be relinquished to Magnus for a small magical favor.

[ Link might feel intimidated if he was the sort to compare himself to others, but he wasn't. As it was, he was just stunned by Era's apparent ease at wielding any weapon that comes her way. ]

That isn't too unusual, is it? Most courtships I've witnessed don't tend to be longer than a year before... the next step.

[ He wasn't the type to think that far ahead in the future, so it was odd to try and think of his own life that way- let alone romantically. ]

This is my first real courtship. I think.

[ At first he nodded as if that was a very practical choice.

Then he thought about it more. Sidon with increased stamina.

[ not that it was very easy to twine such large fingers with such small ones, but he tried. in the end it was just easier to clutch one of Sidon's fingers. b l u s h. ]

[ Link's cheeks suddenly flush bright pink, as if he didn't expect the question to be turned on him, and his eyes begin to drift in the direction of the huge shark-like Zora. ]

My... dear friend, Sidon.

[ an astroglobe is kind of... hard to explain... so she'll just pull hers out (from where? we just don't know) and keep it drawn for Link to examine. ]

Oh, what does it do?

[astralera]

Draws on the power of the stars. Primarily it is used for healing, or gifting someone with temporary enhancements using cards of the arcana.

[ she'll draw a card ^{(beware the loud music)} from those orbiting the globe, glance at it, then toss it away, allowing it to dissolve into light. ]

I cannot choose which card I draw, but I am able to find a use for most all of them in combat.

[ and then she puts it away (where??? ?? it is also a mystery) so as not to draw unnecessary attention to them. ]

[ Link stared at that display with interest. ]

I've never seen anything like it! Power from the stars...

[ Era you are blowing the poor hero's mind. ]

While not my favourite method of healing, but it is certainly the most aesthetically appealing.

[ she's not a fan of rng. and would much rather pew pew pew everything between healing people... ]

[ If you've never seen a butterfly dance, that's... probably a good sign. This one does seem to move around to the beat a little. At the end: ]

[ The daemon currently in Magnus' body offers up some polite applause when prompted. ] That was very catchy, [ it says in Magnus' voice. ] Your music is very interesting.

I'd say it's more than interesting! The world would be a sadder place without that song and now the multiverse knows it too. [ Have some wing fluttering that might indicate excitement here. ] I'm glad the cocktail is effective. It's my first time making them here.

[ Let's think about that a second. ] Since I've been alive, I guess the length of time has fluctuated a lot. A year or so doesn't sound like a bad length of time, does it?

[ Eight months is still noticeably less than a year, but when you find the One, maybe it doesn't feel like that's moving so fast? ]

[While her time in Eudio made Amanda a little more comfortalbe in settings like this, normally she still would have been more likely to stay home with her Evee and electronics than come here. But the effects of that little 'adventure' are still with her, so she needs all the ridiculous fun she can find.

So she's here, wearing maybe a little more leather than a lot of people who know her would expect, and humming over the drinks. She was familiar with similar selections back at Pandemonium the couple times she'd gone, so she's not as worried as she might otherwise have been.

Which means if you come up to her, you might just see a glowing Amelia Earhart, talking maybe to the gray parrot nearby or maybe herself as she turns her hand over for inspection]

You know, I probably would have asked how this works before, but now I really don't think I want to spoil the mystery.

B. Dancefloor
[Amanda can't dance.

At least, she will insist this very loudly most of the time. Still, she's trying not to be apart from everything anymore, so she's at least walking around the floor looking at people's costumes and trying to draw on a bit of the confidence the person she'd been in the prison world who had left her with these powers seemed to have in clubs. Or at least that one club. She'd liked it there, and had even danced sometimes.

So she's here, at least moving a little to the music--and maybe bumping into you]

I... lost my memories.

[ He frowned slightly but continued to speak. ]

I was mortally wounded in battle. To save me, I was laid to rest in a Resurrection Shrine where I slept for one hundred years. The process took my memories, so I'm not sure if I courted anyone before that time.

I've regained a few since then, but nothing about that. Nothing about my life before I was knighted.

It was pretty, in a way.

[ Link was used to weird glow-y technology so he wasn't too shocked.

Of course, at this point he now falls into awkward silence. Socializing is hard, okay? ]

[ He wasn't going to lie: He was worried about the motives about a god of discord and chaos, but Zeke wasn't going to judge until Loki actually did something bad. ]

[ That evokes a frown. ] I see. I'm sorry you went through something like that. [ Magnus' brow furrows. ] Can I ask how long you've been awake?

[ To clarify: ] In other words, how quickly are you regaining your memories?

Six months and I've only recovered a few. It doesn't bother me if I never recover them, if that was the price to pay to save Hyrule then I'd gladly do it again. I think the memories that returned to me were only because of the blessing of the goddesses to aid me in my quest.

[ He shook his head slightly, his mouth veil swaying. ]

I live in the present and look to the future.

[The giggle Mandy gives is probably the closest to the way she did before her world fell apart than it has been in...well, ten years. It's both from the butterfly's movements and the praise]

That it would be. A great deal of the music back home has become incredibly...generic, but I am glad we're still getting some men and women using clever double entendres. I'm still amused by the people who think that's really about working out.

[has Mandy watched that video a time or ten? Maybe. It's one of the few things that isn't Tommy that she likes]

I'm not used to singing pop music, that was my ex's forte. I'm more practiced in torch songs and showtunes, the usual cabaret fare. It's...an interesting change.

( The thing is, Clary loves Halloween. She always has. And while part of her is sure she's supposed to not now that she knows all about the real things that go bump in the night, her enthusiasm for costumes and silly spooky stuff has not dimmed. In fact, tonight is even better because she's high on the success of getting Jace to wear a costume. It's like all her teenage fantasies come to life.

The first thing she does is eye up the cocktail menu, because Magnus never disappoints when it comes to his magical concoctions. Unfortunately, producing electricity is an integral part of being a Pikachu and considering that won't happen, she leaves the last on the list well enough alone for now. Instead she picks up Frankenstein's Monster and takes a sip, grinning when it zaps all the way down. To whoever is nearest, Clary's proclamation comes loud and clear. ) Okay, you have to try this. It's like how you think poprocks and coke would be like, only less deadly.

( She's not all that disappointed they didn't win the costume competition - though she's going to lament to Jace that they were robbed any time he's in earshot. She's just pleased to have done something a little dumb and a lot fun. When the winners are announced though, she happily ditches the mask and the gloves in favour of free movement and heads to where the majority of the partygoers have gathered.

Clary drags whoever she can find onto the dancefloor with ease. Protests are ignored and people implored upon ( she is going to get Alec to dance with her if it kills her, watch this space ) but most of the time she's looking Jace's way. Or one memorable moment forgetting they're in public and leaning over to kiss him mid song, tasting of magic and alcohol. Maybe she should have mentioned to old acquaintances that they weren't actually related, oh well. Rest assured though, she's definitely down to boogie, shimmying to whoever has stopped moving to beam at them. )
