My friends, brothers and sisters in arms, fellow refugees - I need your assistance in settling an argument.

[ here's thor, with a starkly different haircut from last anyone saw him, standing before the camera looking a little more relaxed and a little more mischievous these days. maybe this whole thing is half him genuinely trying to win an argument with loki, and half him just being a little shit, because that's what brothers are for.

and it's nice to actually be a brother again. but we're not talking about that. we're just embarrassing loki. here we go. ]

My dearest, gentle, shy brother, Loki, seems to believe I never approve of his choice in lovers. Likely because his choice lovers are typically either lunatics, or unbearably obnoxious. I think it's his approach to the whole ordeal, so I thought I might do the worthy brotherly thing, and lend him something of a hand.

It depends on what you consider "luck". I wasn't all that invested in a partner.

Meaning this is your brother's stunt and you don't actually care.

He's simply being petty because he couldn't even remember any of my dalliances.

[ and the Grandmaster stuff, but Loki is encouraging that because it's funny. ]

Why should he care, it's none of his business who you sleep with.

[ For most sibling relationships, that's probably true. But in light of how many centuries spent in each other's orbit and the sudden loss of Asgard, Loki can see why Thor cares. Why it is, in some way, for the first time in years, his business once more. Thor is reveling it, the old jokes, the routine.

Loki is annoyed, but not so much to strip that away. If Thor dated someone Loki didn't like . . . well, Loki would have made it his business. ]

It matters to him. That's all.

[ well, if he thinks about it, he tends to keep a steady eye on his sister, hazel, and her relationship with frank. of course, he tends to tease her too, but there's still that brotherly protectiveness that ensures that if frank ever hurt her, he'd be in for a world of trouble. maybe it's the same with this pair. ]

I guess I can see him making sure you're happy.

Make no mistake. He's still being annoying about it and he will end up with bedbugs in his pillow.

I happen to be 89. Sure, not in the thousands, but that's still pretty good considering demigods usually die young.

Are you? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, we don't look the age we're expected to be by Midgardian standards.

Do they die young by virtue of biology, or hazard of being what they are?
