Yes. It was shattered down to my skull.

It will take month or two to grow back using the treatments available here. Possibly even less, if it continues working as well as it has been. I am grateful, as it would take years to regrow in Eorzea and would always remain smaller than the other.

[ there are very few things Era is vain about, and her horns comprise of most of them. she is short, thin, and incredibly plain but her horns have always given her confidence when she looked at them in the mirror.

It was unfortunate, but I am alive and could have been injured more severely. I am grateful that you and the others in the Arena have recovered well.

When are you planning to wed?

Yes, sound runs through my horns! I am able to pinpoint the source of a sound more accurately with them, and missing one has impacted my spacial awareness and balance.

From what I can recall of the first world we visited, Au Ra hearing is only marginally better than a human's and things sound more or less the same.

[ Era still only has vague memories of that world, but there were certain aspects that stuck with her even through the dream-like fog and hearing with a Hyur's ears had been one of them. The fact that everything sounded almost exactly the same had been a surprise once she had regained her memories. ]

If it had been both of my horns I doubt I would be quite so accepting of it for similar reasons. While it is not impossible to play the lyre without hearing it also would not be as enjoyable. It is also an incredible disadvantage during combat.
