Systems Alliance, come in. This is Lieutenant Commander Shepard of the SSV Normandy reporting.
The planet I've landed on is habitable. In fact, there are others here in the same position as me, though it appears all trace of the crew and ship are MIA. That -- probably means I'm the MIA one. I can only hope you're all still together, and in a beneficial situation. Planetary life here seems peaceful to some degree, but I'll stick to the book if it's necessary. I'm documenting plant life, animal genuses, and physical terrain, so you can expect some good reading whenever we meet up again.
Don't sweat. I'm fighting for Earth still, and I'll be back in the line of fire before you know it. Keep yourselves safe, be smart. Unite the alien races, you know the drill. Earth has its eyes on you, and humanity needs us.
To everyone else, hey. Know where a girl can get a decent drink around here?

I've been training as a wizard for almost twenty years, but I'm pretty insignificant compared to my masters. Assuming I don't get taken out by something, I'll probably live well beyond a few thousand years.
What about you, Shepard? What's your story? You mentioned aliens before, are you some sort of space traveler?

You could say that. ( the very definition of it's a Long Story. ) I enlisted in the Alliance military when I was 18. We'd been feuding with an alien life force, the turians, for awhile then, and I wanted to do my part. Eventually I rose ranks from N1 to N7 and joined an Alliance fleet called the Normandy, under the leadership of Captain Anderson as his second in command. Commander Shepard.
In the last few years, I've been promoted to Spectre status, or a soldier who works outside of the jurisdiction of the Citadel Council. Technically, I'm the first human Spectre. It's an honor.

So they trust you to operate on your own? Seems like your Council took the same path with you as my Masters took with me. Would you prefer to be addressed by your military title? It sounds like you've led quite the exciting life. What were the Turians like? And the Citadel Council for that matter?

The turians, let's see ... very tall, with skin like stone. Mandibles for an upper lip, kind of in a 3 shape like a cat. Three fingers on either hand, sharp as claws. Personality wise, they're a race with a strong focus on their military. I can remember a turian in my crew saying that all turians are made to be soldiers.
The Citadel Council is made up of three aliens from each of the three main alien races -- turian, asari, and salarian.

[You might've just earned a fan, Shepard.]

And some visuals of the alien races, which you might be interested in.

Consider yourself recruited, Farriage. I'll send the address now.

[And true to his word, he is. His peculiar jellyfish daemon loosely hanging off of his staff while he greets Shepard with a smile once she opens her door.]
So, what can I help with?
[He has to admit, it's kind of nice. No worrying about fighting for awhile now. Just going out and doing nice stuff for people. It's a simplicity his life was sorely in need of.]
