Systems Alliance, come in. This is Lieutenant Commander Shepard of the SSV Normandy reporting.

The planet I've landed on is habitable. In fact, there are others here in the same position as me, though it appears all trace of the crew and ship are MIA. That -- probably means I'm the MIA one. I can only hope you're all still together, and in a beneficial situation. Planetary life here seems peaceful to some degree, but I'll stick to the book if it's necessary. I'm documenting plant life, animal genuses, and physical terrain, so you can expect some good reading whenever we meet up again.

Don't sweat. I'm fighting for Earth still, and I'll be back in the line of fire before you know it. Keep yourselves safe, be smart. Unite the alien races, you know the drill. Earth has its eyes on you, and humanity needs us.

I'm not too picky about music. This is where my crew would say I have no rhythm, anyway.
While I'm sure the Alliance would appreciate my stick figure drawings of the local animals, I think they'd be a bit miffed if they found out I was busy drawing pictures on some planet instead of actively looking for a more direct way to help them.

Generally it means proceeding with caution -- assuming hostility with new species until proven otherwise, something like that. Seeing as it's just me, I think I'll have to be a little more creative with my interpretation of the rule book, though.

Most of the people I've met here aren't hostile, whether they're human, downworlder, or alien

Aside from the animals in the forest, but they're less hostile than territorial, from what I've seen

There have been other threats, though. Wisps in the forest that led us astray, and obviously that whole experience in the prison world

But nothing that I'd count as making a real fight of this. Not yet, anyway

I've found that my title doesn't have as much leverage here as it does at home.

It is... an acquired taste, perhaps.
There is a young woman here who is quite vocal about her displeasure for it.
While it is quite different from my own music, I don't find it too distasteful. Just a bit unorganized.
