I would assume death gods are more choosy about their tributes and sacrifices. No mere life would suffice.

It's not really a sacrifice. We were entertainment in a fight to death. I've won several times and therefore each time my prize was immortality until the next games.

These are some rather capricious gods. Had they nothing better to do with their time? What a waste.

I long ago gave up on trying to understanding the whims and folly of deities.

Not elaborate death games. I am the god of mischief. I prefer to learn and adapt.

Mischief had plenty of place in games but many have a hand in mischief and chaos.

I have not thought the gods would care much to learn or adapt.

Mischief with the ultimatum of death does not sound like mischief I would endorse.

I am different from other gods.
