I'd like to say Odin's blood differs, but we've had our share of wars as well.
Is your father some spirit of the earth or nature?
Forgive me, I'm not the most well versed with Midgard's other legends.

my father is Hades, god of wealth and the Underworld
his purvey is death and the afterlife.
and they're not really legends if they're true, now are they?

Seems like it would be somewhat dreary to grow up in.
Then again, I wouldn't know, having never been dead myself, I suppose.
Did you spend much time with your father in the Underworld

not until recently
i didn't even know i'm a demigod until a few years ago

Really? Was it not something very obvious?

my powers didn't start surfacing for real
until i got older

I see. Do you ever wish to return to how you were before?

sometimes. my sister might still be alive.

I'm sorry to hear of her passing. Losing family is a devastating thing.

especially when you can sense their death.
it wasn't pleasant.
but i've grieved and moved on
she would want me to live happily.

A gift of your parentage? No, I imagine it wouldn't be. This power you have now, what have you decided to do with it?

i wouldn't call it a gift
but it does come from my parentage.
the powers i have, i usually use to defend myself
and my friends from danger

I see. What manner of powers did you inherit? Growing up, most warriors struggle to control their powers, require much training. Even I had to find means to adjust.

It's a worthy purpose, what you use them for. Even curses can sometimes become a boon if utilized correctly.

necromancy, for the most part.
my father, being Hades, has power over the dead
so i do too.
i also have a little power over the earth
as well as power over the shadows.
i can use them to travel instantly.

most people are creeped out by my powers, but

They seem like greatly useful abilities. There are secrets the dead know that most of the living could never fathom, but many don't imagine death as a piece in a cycle.

It's good that you embrace your powers, and your heritage. They will be what you make of them, and in time, the others will see the goodness of them through your acts, my friend.
