i thought so too
and they are!!!
o(*>ω<*)o
no date yet
i still need to talk to vanyel about when/if we're getting married here
and ofc you're invited!!
as for the reception, I dunno
something fun as heck tho
no subject
i can't believe it--
someone i know is getting married!
woahhh hey!
how great would it be to world travel for your wedding?
oh no (>▽<) i'm wicked excited
whatever you decide on, always make sure you have music.
no subject
apollod was starting to piece something together, I think, which is how I found out about it
but he got distracted by a very squeaky toy
oh man
traveling would be awesome!! i don't know, we'll have to see
but thank you i trust your tastes in music
which is a big honor ok
no subject
sounds like your daemon for sure, haha!
isn't it funny how they're are so realistically similar to actual animals?
either way, it'll be an extraordinary wedding!
my tastes in music? oh, well, i suppose i could give a few suggestions ...
i am very honored, though!
no subject
haha, right?
i love him, the dopey thing
apollod was an actual animal before coming here... hopefully when I go back he'll revert too
you better believe it will
i'm about to bring this house down, alright
mine will be the best wedding around
no subject
so, you had him as a pet before you came to xistentia?
of course he'll still be there when you get back.
ah wow!!!
it's like my excitement came back twofold! (^ヮ^)
i'm positive you'll throw a party that lives up to the hype and then some
no subject
he was the first dog I adopted in eudio, actually
i got him as a puppy
it's been almost two years now though so he's grown a lot
uh hell yeah i will
the reception is gonna be fly as heck too
it'll be a whole day to remember i'm sure
no subject
i'd imagine so. watching him grow from a puppy to the dog he is now must have been endearing.
sorry, i don't recognize the term 'fly.' is that slang? [at least the second part of rosie's text sort of explains it.]
oh
okay
i see what you mean now.
no subject
he's out of the puppy phase
well, maybe physically
he still has the energy of a puppy most days
and it was!! I can't imagine my life without him or any of the others, really
fly = cool
basically
no subject
it's good to hear he's still full of energy!
how many other dogs do you have?
that's what i was thinking, given the context you were using the word in!
but it never hurts to be sure
no subject
maybe too much?
but I still love him lots
and I have seven others
it was a thing in eudio, actually
i adopted dogs people left behind when they went back home
marshmallow and the husky triplets belonged to other people but
after they left, they bequeathed them to me
and don't worry dude
i feel you
slang is a heckuva learning curve
it took me years to learn
and honestly?
i'm pretty stuck in the 90s
no subject
wow, seven others?
that's a lot of dogs, but it was really nice of you to take them in.
the apartment i have here is huge and even i don't think i could have that many!
see, i'm glad you understand.
because along with eighties american slang, i've had to try and understand what people use here.
it's not hard to get the gist of the jargon they're using, thankfully.
no subject
robin and maurice were also adopted by me
but all the others belong to other people
nah, a lot of it can be figured out from context
and the 80s and 90s aren't so different really so
you'll pick it up in no time, i'm sure
you can always ask me too, i'd be happy to explain
no subject
next time i visit, i should bring them all something.
they aren't? whew!
well, that's a relief. maybe it will be easier to decipher as i get older.
for now, i don't think i'll have a problem coming to you with it.
since you're offering, i mean, because i'm going to need all the help i can get when it comes to figuring out any slang kavinsky might use.
no subject
but they do have an excellent trainer, so
and they'd love that!
that's totally understandable, yeah
he does use a lot
but you'll get used to it
maybe even start using it yourself, who knows
no subject
so it comes as no surprise to me that they're great. (◡‿◡)
i've started using some for what it's worth.
a teammate of mine made a comment about how he was 'digging my coat' once and at the time, i asked about a shovel.
it was funny then, but looking back now, i'm slightly embarrassed about it.
[aaand he might have made himself a little upset. aw.]
no subject
you big ol sweetie
oh my gosh
that's adorable
i mean, i use 'cool' like all the time now but at first I was so confused why people were saying how 'cool' stuff was in, like, the middle of midwest summers
so don't worry you're not alone dude
no subject
you flatter me, rosie.
that's what she said, too! i'm glad you both think it's cute, at least.
right? i can only imagine how funny it seemed when someone said 'cool' and you're looking around like, "no, actually, it's rather hot today."
good to know i'm not the only one that's struggled with slang.
no subject
haha
yeah
i also blew up a microwave once so
trust me, you'll likely never be as bad as I was at integrating into the common culture
no subject
a microwave?
you know i have to ask how that happened, right?
guess there's only one way to find out!
no subject
practice!!
of course
so you know like those little mac and cheese microwavable cups
i forgot to put water in one
and it caught on fire
and then the microwave caught on fire
and then it exploded
no subject
uhm i don't but it's fine!
we can pretend that i know and i can gather enough information from your explanation.
also oh no!!
that is a rather unfortunate accident.
did you at least get your macaroni and cheese?
no subject
and that sounds good to me
but no
it was unsalvagable, unfortunately
no subject
you've surely made more by now with less catching the cups on fire?
or that's what i'd hope for, at least. sometimes things happen that are out of our hands.
no subject
70% of the time I don't now
