Current Job(s): still a bounty hunter, I guess, although I've not had any work since arriving here. If you're looking for someone to perform a job for you, I am available. I guess, if you really need a suit done, I can look into that, too. I'd rather not.

[ Of course the first person to say something has to pick up on the one thing that'll hurt the most to talk about. He doesn't correct her by saying 'what was it like, but he takes a while to respond. ]

the best. not saying everybody's got it easy but cody and i, we were best friends. it's responsibility to be a big brother, i guess. they look up to you, and you gotta set a good example. but it's rewarding as hell, too.

It is more of family by choice. Though I don't know if my young friends would think of me in the same way.

i've been running around trying to find things to do.

yeah, they did. i only picked up doing this after i was turned, and my clients were all supernatural creatures. mainly vampires.

They tend to keep to their own where I'm from. With a few exceptions

Who were you supposed to hunt?

there's a hierarchy, where I'm from. Vampires are at the top of the food chain. They've been around longer, there's more of them, they usually have more money and power, people in high places. And they have a lot of work for people like me, who just want to make a living.

it was usually about money. did a lot of debt collection.

[ He's done a lot more, but he's not really willing to talk about it. ]

Are you a lone wolf?

[ There isn't a chance in hell the kind of packs Jace is familiar with would do the vampires' dirty work. He can just imagine the looks on their faces if it were suggested. ]

Most I know are in packs, and the vamps are in clans. Your place sounds different. Do you have Shadowhunters of any kind?

Yeah

We have packs, too, and Vampires are in covens, usually. But I was bitten and left for dead,
so I don't have a pack. And I don't want one. And I'm useful to vampires who need some dirty work done without implicating them.

Shadowhunters? No, not that I know of. We have wolves and vampires and fae, and the Other World has like, dragons and stuff like that. What's a Shadowhunter?

It's complicated, but the short version? We protect the human world from the demon world

My guess is your Other World is what we'd call the demon world

When you talk about werewolves, vampires and fae, we have those too. And warlocks. Fae we call seelies, and altogether they're called Downworlders. Means they're half human, and the human world doesn't know about any of this. Sound familiar?

some of it is familiar, yeah. We don't have a name for the lot of us, besides like, supernatural creatures. and we're not all demons - demons are a very specific subspecies of the faes and they're the fucking worst

the human world doesn't know about us either. i only learned about it all after i got bit, 5 years ago
