it's the use of reflective surfaces to try and tell the future. or in my case, i used it to find an answer to a question.

though scrying is less about interpretation. it provides images.

Ambiguity does provide a certain amount of safety when it comes to fortunes.

I have never heard of scrying in my world. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it's practiced on other continents.

it can guide you to a path, but you don't have to take it. at least that's how i see it.

it could be. it's not really well known where i'm from either. most people think it's pretend. a way to make money off gullible people.

Hopefully most people see it that way as well. To rely entirely on fortunes is unwise.

Magical knowledge is common enough on my home continent that most don't fall for schemes involving magic. I have yet to meet anyone in Eorzea who thinks it is pretend, and I hope I never do.
