2. I've thrown up on Joss Whedon's shoes at a comic convention.
3. I was given a month's worth of detention for filling a volcano full of glitter and sequins in science class and then letting it explode.

I'm not familiar with Sailor Moon or Joss Whedon,
so I will have to guess the lie is number three.

Though if that is a truth, it must have been quite a spectacle. And I assume 'detention' is less severe than the kind of that I'm familiar with?

man, i think i'm the only anime fan here. that's so disappointing.

but nope! three is the truth, though in my defense we did get told we'd get points for originality and i was just using what i knew at the time.

detention's kind of like a time out? if you piss off a teacher or don't hand in your homework you get sent to it after school.

A month? That seems harsh for a prank that could only have brought joy to the people experiencing it. Then again, glitter is notoriously impossible to clean up.

mom had to ban it from the apartment once, because i thought it would be a good idea to cover the entire bath in it.
i think i was trying to be a mermaid.

I do not know Sailor Moon or Joss Whedon, nor am I familiar with comic conventions or sequins. I will hazard a guess that the lie is the second choice.

The third sounds so outlandish that I think it might actually be true. Though how would one fill a volcano with glitter and sequins?

but it wasn't a real volcano.
we had to make a model of one for a science fair. you know, paper mache, baking soda, the whole deal.
i just went a little wild with mine.

Actually, I do not know. What is a science fair, paper mache, and baking soda?

oh, okay, so a science fair is like a high school thing.
the students do a whole project on a topic of their choice.
it's supposed to be competitive because usually there's a prize.

paper mache is when you pulp paper and mould it together with an adhesive. not my favourite thing to do, but still fun most of the time.

and baking soda's like an ingredient i used to make the volcano foamy.

A month's worth of detention seems quite extreme a punishment, though. Is that the lie?

nope.
my teacher hated me.
or maybe he hated glitter.
but he definitely had a vendetta against something.

I am not sure which of the other two would be false, then.

mostly because i wasn't the culprit. my friend simon suffered that fate.
